Prototype: Cyberlite

Roguelite bullet hell

Cyberlite was created to immerse players in a fast-paced roguelite bullet hell experience within a neon-lit cyberpunk city. We wanted to capture the thrill of navigating hostile streets while continuously upgrading your car to face relentless waves of enemies that become increasingly challenging. To keep the gameplay engaging, we introduced a choice system every few kilometers, allowing players to select between two visually distinct zones, each offering a unique upgrade. Additionally, we incorporated hack-based minigames to add a varied yet cohesive experience.

Designed in pixel art with a futuristic, gritty aesthetic, the visuals were built using third-party assets adapted using Aseprite. Cyberlite was developed in Unity alongside a teammate, with a focus on creating a dynamic and immersive cyberpunk experience. Currently, the project is paused indefinitely, with a possible future continuation under consideration.
